THERMAL TOURISM: THE CASE OF DIYARBAKIR CERMIK THERMAL BATH

The development of technology, the increase in migration from the village to the city, the busy business life and a more stressful lifestyle that has developed due to all these have left people in a very difficult situation in terms of health. Faced with the fear and danger of losing their health, people have sought new solutions as a solution to this situation and have developed new solutions with both a holiday and an understanding of health. The concept of Thermal Tourism, which emerged as a result of these searches, has also taken its place among alternative tourism types. Thermal facilities, where people have the opportunity to take a vacation and find a cure for their diseases, are on their way to becoming the shining star of the tourism sector in our country as well as all over the world. In this study that we have done, the tourism potential of Diyarbakır Çermik Hot Springs has been discussed, its features have been evaluated with its main lines, and the studies and suggestions that can be made for the further promotion of these thermal springs, which are not known enough throughout the country, are mentioned.
